We had fun with the Petersen boys this week. We took them for a hike on Ben Lomond, where they soon found themselves some weapons for shooting the wild animals that were lurking behind every tree. We then went to Sherwood Forest to swing on the rope, climb to the tree house, and yes, to shoot more wild game. Then they helped me stuff our scarecrow with straw and plant in the garden to protect the strawberries, from...you guessed right, wild animals that prowl in the night. Do they sleep well? Not without a fervent prayer for protection against, drum roll please; WILD ANIMALS!

It's a wonder those two can sleep alone at night. They can can't they? Just seeing a spider puts my boys into an early grave. . .
I love your scarecrow! We are already getting our Halloween decor out...31 days just isn't enough for my family:) The fort is amazing as well. Need to keep filing these ideas away for my time as "Grandma Tracy" :)
I am Jamie's friend. I met you at her wedding 51/2 years ago. I love your family. It is everthing I wish mine was. You are an amazing woman and I have watched your family through Jamie. I have learned so much from her and as she shares with me her family experiences I get a feeling and many good ideas of how to strenghen my home and family. Thank you for raising the type of daughter who has so freely shared with me what she was given by you and her dad.
