Here Comes Santa Claus x 200!
Trace donned his Santa suit to run a 3 mile course with other Santas in downtown Ogden last week. Of course, he was the only REAL Santa in the race and so was swarmed by children along the entire course. His beautiful red velvet suit stood out like white on rice.

After the race, Ogden held their electric Christmas Parade with over 50 entries. Jamie, Lindsey and their children joined us for the fun. The weather was balmy, adding to our enjoyment.

I wasn't prepared to like Ogden so much. I thought I would move to Ogden Valley and not have much to do with Ogden, it being the armpit of Utah and all. Oh, how wrong I was. It is a lovely city and has improved so very much during the 8 years we have lived here. Our mayor has done a fantastic job of revitalizing the downtown. Ogden is especially attractive for those who enjoy sports and the outdoors. Two rivers run right through town and within 30 minutes you can find almost any kind of wildlife including deer, moose, elk, ducks, geese, swans and even mountain lions. Ogden also has some of the most spectacular mountain trails and views imaginable. It is a paradise for campers, bikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, fishermen, hunters and is also world renowned as one of the best places on earth for snow skiing.

I love Ogden too! (You probably already read that in Jamie's comments.) My dad used to have an art gallery and studio on 24th and Washington. I think I saw the building in one of your pictures. I had a lot of fun downtown as an adolescent, before they tore down the mall.
