She then stretches her broom toward one of the torches. The broom catches fire-symbolic of evil, death, and destruction-and she lights the Scarecrow's arm, taunting, "How about a little fire, Scarecrow?"
Dorothy immediately reaches for the bucket of water-symbolic of purity, cleanliness, and life. In horror, the witch screams, "Don't touch that water!" Splash! The water covers the witch's face, hands, and torso. As she begins to melt, she whines, "Oh, what a world, what a world! Who would have thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness!"
As smoke rises from the black heap of the Wicked Witch's clothing a guard declares, "Hail to Dorothy! The Wicked Witch is dead!" One good little girl had destroyed all the "beautiful wickedness" in an entire land.
Oh, what a world, what a world we live in today-full of wickedness and corruption. But like Dorothy in the land of Oz, good men and women and good boys and girls can make this world a better place. If we live according to true, correct, and time-tested principles, we really can make a difference and help destroy some of the "beautiful wickedness" that surrounds us.
When you die, will God know that you were really here and that you really lived? Will there be dirt under you fingernails or grass stains on your shoes? Will there be sticky kisses on your cheeks or tears of a friend on your shoulder? Or will there be no proof that you were here because, thinking only of yourself, you did so little good that no one elses life was affected? I hope volumes of good will be written about you, proving that you really were here and that you really did live. Be assured that one good boy or girl and one good man or woman CAN make a difference in this world.

I love Jack. I need to get him back out and listen to him each day.
Thank you so much for the words that you always write on my blog. It means a lot. I heard that Uncle Trace and Rich were in Texas to see the BYU TCU game the same time I was there. I really wish I would've known that! Anyways, I hope to see you guys soon and I will keep you updated on Elder Enrique. I hope to see you soon. Merry Christmas
He always has a good way of putting things as he combines stories and quotes to bring a familiar truth to our hearts and minds. Nice post.
