Dog Days of Summer....AUGUST

Cody signed Jaken up to ride a sheep in the Golden Spike Rodeo.  He had a respectable time and truly looked like a cowboy, as did Caleb!

Lindsey and I took the kinder to Heritage Park where they got to see how the pioneer children lived.  Caleb got to see how children were disciplined in school.....by holding two books behind your back for 20 minutes.  Try it!  It's brutal.

Trout and Berry Days in Paradise was fun again this year.  Jaken re-entered the pool when Emma arrived, and caught her fish for her!

We took our jet ski to Bear Lake and enjoyed ourselves, as usual.

My sisters and I continue to enjoy having progressive dinners at each others homes.  I made my favorite chicken salad served on an antique mirror.

My girls treated me to WICKED for my birthday this year.  It was wonderful, and fun to attend with so many family members.
Another trip to the northwest seemed in order.  Of course, we had to go to Cannon Beach!

Fine dining was the order of the day and the kinder loved having lunch while cruising down the Willamette River.

Two things have to happen when I visit:  take the kids to Gustov's and shop at Monticello with Stacey...check!

Viewing the Sturgeon at the dam on the Columbia River was a crowd pleaser.

Picking fresh blueberries is always fun!
Jamie and her family drove to Stacey's to spend a fun, short time together.  Todd kindly took us out on the boat.

Yet more great times with the grandkids. What would you do w/o them??? I love what fun things you do with them. I'm so happy you loved Wicked, although I'm still dismayed that you won't listen to the music now. f

What a great month you had!!! It was so very different than my month of August. Which is weird since our lives seem so similar at times. I'm excited for fall and the many adventures we have coming up :) Thanks for creating so many great memories for my little children :)
