Freezing in February

Jaken loved being invited to his cousin's barbie birthday!

The hotel we stayed at in West Valley City for Emma's birthday was such a crowd pleaser.

Emma enjoyed our February baking day as we made Swedish cookies in the Pizelle.

Jaken and Caleb enjoyed their strawberry tart and  Red Velvet Milkshakes.

Caleb, my chef in training, stirs up a batch of Valentine chex mix.

Trace helps the boys complete their science projects, which were crystals and volcanoes.

Lydia always holds the key to our hearts.

My dear cousin, Ruth Palmer, gave us a wonderful tour of the Church's food storage distribution center; The Bishop's Storehouse.   She and Larry are serving a mission there.

I hosted a Valentine party for Petersens, Bundys, Jensens and Wheelrights.

February was a fun month in spite of frigid temperatures.  The kinder enjoyed a tearful evening watching THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS with us.  We met Sara's new boyfriend, Mike. I had a retinal tear in my eye.  We went to dinner with the Jensens at Sherwood Hills, the day before it closed forever.  Trace bought me a new rifle with a scope.  I went to early morning Rotary with Trace and finally got to meet Paul and Cherish Morrell who are running the charity in Ethiopia that we are working with.  I started doing fund raising for Cherish.   We kept Jaken and Caleb for four days while Sara went to Vegas on a buying trip for work.  We celebrated Emma's birthday early in West Valley, at a fun hotel with an amazing pool area.
